FINALLY MOVING ON
There needs to be a better saying than "Thank you", as it doesn't do Maggie's expertise justice!After 3.5+ years of dealing with an uncooperative ex-husband, I have finally sold the matrimonial home that I own with my ex!
I had felt very lost and frustrated dealing with 2 lawyers that got no response or any progress with my ex. I had moved out with promises from my ex of "buying me out" of our home. When that fell through, he stopped all communication with me about the house and either buying me out or selling the home.
It was holding me financially hostage and I was beyond stressed and had no idea what to do.
I decided to reach out to my mortgage rep who referred me to Realtor® Maggie Horsburgh, and what a tremendous referral it was!!!
My first zoom conversation with Maggie was more informative than both lawyers I had tried, and any other person I had spoken to that works in Real Estate!
I found out that she is the ONLY Realtor® in Canada that is certified in Separation & Divorce Real Estate, and it shows!!
She let me know what paperwork needed to be filed in order to get funds released properly on closing day, and other details that a regular Realtor® wouldn't know.
I knew then, that Maggie was the only Realtor® I would use because of the delicate nature of selling a matrimonial home with a separated couple!
My ex FINALLY agreed to sell the house the fall of 2021. I had tried to convince my ex to go with Maggie as a trained neutral Realtor® for both of us, but by no surprise he refused. He and I both used our own Realtor®, so it was a joint listing sale.
The two in-office meetings Maggie and I had with his Realtor® showed it was clear that Maggie was much more knowledgeable about the situation, and it just reconfirmed that I had made the absolute best decision on my Realtor® choice!!

FRESH START AFTER DIVORCE!
Starting a new life after divorce is always difficult. Discovering your independence, making decisions without a partner to run things by, standing on your own while only having your own income to depend on. Sounds exciting and frightening all at the same time. My client was breaking out and the next step was to find a home….her home. Determined to do this one her own, without relying on the help of family or friends, she started this quest of independence. After spending time driving by home after home and checking out every safe and established neighourhood, her eyes beheld the dream!
